Committee of 100 Announces Updates to the Board

New York, NY (September 1, 2022) – After recent internal annual elections, Committee of 100 is pleased to announce the following updates to its board and leadership team. Committee of 100 is a non-profit U.S. leadership organization of prominent Chinese Americans in business, government, academia, healthcare, and the arts focused on public policy engagement, civic engagement, and philanthropy.

Philip Ma, Chief Executive Officer, President, and Founder of PrognomiQ will now serve as Treasurer for Committee of 100. We thank John Chiang for his service as treasurer. The rest of the executive team includes Gary Locke, who continues to serve as Chair, Debra Wong Yang, who continues to serve as Vice-Chair and David C. Chang who continues to serve as Secretary.

Joining the Committee of 100 Board are Gordon H. Chang, Professor of American History, Olive H. Palmer Professor in Humanities at Stanford University; Buck Gee, Board President of the Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation and former Cisco Vice President; Handel Lee, Vice Chair, Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center and Senior Partner, King & Wood Mallesons; Oscar Tang, Co-Chairman, New York Philharmonic, Chairman, Metropolitan Museum of Art Asian Art Visiting Committee, and Committee of 100 Co-Founder; and Brian A. Wong, Chairman and Founder of RADII Media and former Alibaba Group Vice President.

Buck Gee will serve as the new Northern California Regional Chair and Handel Lee will serve as the new Washington, D.C. Regional Chair. Rick Nu continues to serve as New York Regional Chair and Charlie Woo continues to serve as Southern California Regional Chair. Eric Zheng continues to serve as Greater China Chair.

Committee of 100 would like to thank outgoing Directors John Chiang, Kenneth Fong and Robert W. Gee for their service, dedication and commitment to the Board for the past several years. All three remain active members of the Committee of 100.

All Committee of 100 Directors and Officers are Members of the organization. Committee of 100 holds elections for the Chair role every three years and elections for Board Roles and Regional Chairs every fiscal year on a rotating and term basis.
