Committee of 100’s members are American citizens, all proud of our contributions to the US, as well as our Chinese heritage.
We are united by our belief in core American values. To support the principles of equity is crucial for all regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality, ability, socioeconomic status, or religion. We firmly reject all forms of prejudice, intolerance, and discrimination.
Committee of 100 believes that America is stronger because of its immigrant heritage and diverse citizenry. We support the full inclusion and advancement of the more than five million Chinese Americans in the US.
The well-being of all American citizens is affected by the US-China relationship. We encourage open dialogue. We believe that a deeper knowledge of both US and China heritages will foster mutual benefits. We support exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, not least in the areas of: business, the arts, education, public health, science, finance, and more.
We believe progress happens when people find common ground and work together to solve the world’s most pressing challenges. We call on both US and Chinese governments, as well as non-governmental parties, to behave as responsible changemakers to collaborate peacefully.
Committee of 100 has a rich legacy of harnessing its distinguished membership to address significant and complex issues pertaining to Americans of Chinese descent and U.S.-China relations. In addition to serving as a high-level bridge and trusted interlocutor, Committee of 100 signature programs include China Delegations, Capitol Hill Briefings, U.S.-China Mirror Opinion Surveys, knowledge publications, educational workshops, next-generation leadership initiatives, public statements, and high-profile conferences.
"I have confidence in humankind. I believe we will one day live together peacefully."
Chien-Shiung Wu, Founder of Committee of 100
