Teddy Zee is a Hollywood producer and former studio executive (EVP, Columbia Pictures, SVP, Paramount Pictures) whose films have amassed over $2.5 billion. His movies include such titles as Pursuit of Happyness, Hitch, Charlie’s Angels, My Girl, Indecent Proposal and Saving Face. Zee has built an active advisory and consulting practice that spans media, technology and commerce while bridging Hollywood with China and Asia.
Zee advises such companies as Meitu, a Chinese photo and video app giant with almost 1.3 billion downloads; Oben, an LA based start-up that brings humanity to machines through voice technology; Lifesite, a Silicon Valley based start-up that organizes and securely stores life’s most important documents; and ThinOptics, an e-commerce retailer that delivers lightweight and durable reading glasses carried on the back of smartphone cases. He served as Chief Creative Officer of start-up Mozaik Multimedia, which was acquired by Rambus.
For the fourth year, Zee guest programs Best Foreign TV Show for the Shanghai TV Festival and consulted for GSMA’s Mobile World Congress Shanghai. He managed a successful marketing, promotions and licensing collaboration between Chinese fashion retailer Semir and Marvel Studios on Iron Man 2.
Zee earned an MBA from Harvard University and a BS from Cornell University. He is a member of: Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (Oscars), Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmys) and Producers Guild of America. With Committee of 100, he co-founded the Leadership and Mentoring Program. Zee serves on the Board of Directors for Koreatown Youth + Community Center in Los Angeles.
