Sue Van was awarded a Philanthropy Excellence Award at the 25th Anniversary Gala for her work to further the full inclusion of Chinese Americans in the U.S. and advance U.S.-China exchanges through Philanthropy. Ms. Van is the President and CEO of the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation. Its largest program is in translation research in bio-medical engineering. The foundation’s newest initiative is its work with Asian American Pacific Islander groups to form one cohesive community to promote civic engagement and to address health disparities.
