This Committee of 100 Asian American Career Ceilings Initiative event provided Asian Americans at all career stages with valuable career advice from accomplished Asian Americans in the finance industry. Similar events have been held across various professions and will continue in the future.

The session began with welcome comments and introductions, followed by virtual breakout rooms hosted by experienced Asian American advisors. Participants received the advisor list in advance. Attendees chose breakout rooms most aligned with their interests and moved freely between rooms throughout the session.

This format created unique opportunities to explore finance careers with seasoned practitioners and build meaningful connections. Discussions were frank and informative. Advisors responded directly to participant questions and share personal insights about their functional area, including both the upsides and the downsides.

We hope this event was particularly valuable for those just beginning or early-to-mid stages of their careers, helping them refine their career planning, overcome obstacles, and accelerate their professional growth.
