Yunpeng Wang, Metropolitan Opera Baritone | Committee of 100 25th Anniversary

27-year-old baritone Yunpeng Wang is currently a member of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the Metropolitan Opera. Mr. Wang begins the 2014-2015 season in his house debut with the Metropolitan Opera as the Fiorello in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia and the Flemish Duputy in Verdi’s Don Carlo. Following he will appear in the MET+Juilliard’s production Gluck’s Iphigénie en Aulide as Agamemnon. In the summer, he will make his role debut as Count Almaviva in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing and return to the Rossini Opera Festival as Filippo in a new production of La Gazzetta in Pesaro, Italy. Last summer, he made his Metropolitan Opera company debut in the Met’s Summer Recital Series.
