Statement from Committee of 100 on the Recent Rise in Antisemitism

25th May 2021

New York, NY (May 25, 2021) — The following statement was issued today by Zheng Yu Huang, President of Committee of 100, in regards to the recent rise in antisemitism:

“Committee of 100 is troubled by the rise in antisemitism, and we stand united with the Jewish American community in speaking out against hate, xenophobia and violence. As an organization that pushes for the full inclusion of Chinese Americans in American society, we understand what it means to be discriminated against. The rise in anti-Asian hate is testament to that growing trend,” said Zheng Yu Huang, President of Committee of 100. “These acts of hate have no place in America, whether directed against Jewish Americans or any other American. We proudly stand with partners such as the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee as they fight against racism, bigotry and ignorance.  Hate has no place in our society.”
