The Committee of 100 Congratulates its Member Ivan K. Fong on His Nomination as General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
(New York, NY-January 30, 2009)–The Committee of 100 would like to congratulate Ivan K. Fong, C-100 member, for his nomination as General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security by President Barak Obama.
Fong is currently the Chief Legal Officer & Secretary for Cardinal Health Inc., and has previously served as Deputy Associate Attorney General for the Department of Justice, playing a key role in directing the federal government’s role in civil litigation and enforcement matters.
Fong has showcased firm understanding of the law throughout his career. His ability to handle new and relevant issues is exemplified in: “The Electronic Frontier: The Challenge of Unlawful Conduct Involving the Use of the Internet,” a groundbreaking report on cybercrime policy.
