C100 Member Gordon H. Chang Presents on U.S.-China History to NextGen Leaders

On Thursday, November 17th, the Committee of 100 held a Luncheon featuring C100 member Gordon H. Chang, author of “Fateful Ties: A History of America’s Preoccupation with China” and former C100 Chairman Clarence Kwan with NextGen Leaders. Dr. Chang is the Director for East Asian Studies at Stanford. He touched on a diverse set of topics, including insights drawn from his book on the history and future of U.S.-China relations. Participants discussed the importance of historical perspectives on the U.S.-China relationship, and ways to strengthen the Asian American community.
