On July 1, C-100 Southern California members convened at the Panda Restaurant Group Inc. headquarters for a members meeting graciously hosted by Andrew Cherng, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. The meeting was co-chaired by Southern California Co-Chairs Stewart Kwoh and Charlie Woo, and welcomed a visit by C-100 Chairman Clarence Kwan and new C-100 Acting Executive Director Holly Chang from the New York office. Dedicated members Lily Lee Chen, Julie Fong, Herman Li, John Long, Li Lu, Edmond Pi, William Wang, and Janet Yang also participated in the lively discussion. During the meeting, Clarence Kwan provided updates and discussed his intentions to empower the regions and dramatically strengthen members engagement, program impact and organizational growth. He also emphasized the strategic focus of C-100 programs in three core areas. The first two areas mirrored the organization’s dual mission to strengthen US-China relations and promote the inclusion and full participation of Chinese-Americans in the U.S. A third and new program pillar focused on the development of next-generation leadership amongst Chinese Americans and US-China bridge-builders.
