Following the conference, the Committee hosted its 22nd Annual Awards Gala. Clive Crook, Bloomberg View columnist, highlighted the professional impact of the C-100 China Delegations and Nancy Poon Lue discussed the impact of the C-100 Leadership Development Initiative on her career.

Following the conference, the Committee hosted its 22nd Annual Awards Gala. Clive Crook, Bloomberg View columnist, highlighted the professional impact of the C100 China Delegations and Nancy Poon Lue discussed the impact of the C100 Leadership Development Initiative on her career.

Madam Li Haifeng, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, received a Special Acknowledgment of Appreciation for her work with overseas Chinese. The Committee remembered C100 members Charlie Sie and Zheng Cao; C100 Advisory Council Member Irene Hirano Inouye thanked C100 for its posthumous tribute and long-standing friendship with former Senator Daniel Inouye.

Congresswoman Judy Chu, Chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, and former Senator of Massachusetts Scott Brown received the Chinese in America Advancement award for their leadership in the 1882 Project. Acclaimed artist Xu Bing received the Chinese in America Achievement award for his artistic accomplishments and unveiled his iconographic artwork derived from the Committee’s conference theme, “Common Ground.” The evening also included a special performance by “I Sing Beijing,” a program that brings Western vocal artists to Beijing to study songs in Mandarin.
