All Committee of 100 members and Next Generation Leaders are invited to an engaging fireside chat with Committee of 100 member Joyce Chang, Chair of Global Research at J.P. Morgan’s Commercial and Investment Bank; Jitania Kandhari, Head of Macro and Thematic Research for Emerging Market Equity and Deputy CIO of the Solutions and Multi-Asset Group at Morgan Stanley; and Shamaila Khan, Head of Fixed Income Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific at UBS Asset Management. The evening will begin with a fireside chat, followed by a networking reception, offering an opportunity to welcome the Class of 2026 NGLs and engage with the Committee of 100 and BNP Paribas communities.

About the speakers

Joyce Chang is the Chair of Global Research for J.P. Morgan’s Commercial and Investment Bank, with 36 years of experience in Global Research. Her expertise spans Macro, Cross-Asset, Fixed Income, Emerging Markets, Geopolitical, and Strategic Research. She has held numerous leadership positions in research since joining JPMorgan in 1999, including Global Head of Research, Global Head of Fixed Income Research and Global Head of Emerging Markets Research. Chang began her career as an Emerging Markets Strategist in 1989 and held top rankings in Institutional Investor surveys for Emerging Markets Research, earning 25 #1 individual rankings, and was inducted into the Fixed Income Analyst Society Hall of Fame in 2014. Before joining J.P. Morgan Chase in 1999, she was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch and Salomon Brothers. Chang is the Executive Sponsor for J.P. Morgan Chase’s AsPIRE network for employees of Asian heritage. She serves on the Board of Directors for the German Marshall Fund, Fixed Income Analyst Society, Asian American Business Development Center, and Trickle Up. Additionally, she serves on numerous Boards of Visitors and External Advisory Councils for major universities, including Columbia, Princeton, Georgetown, and UC Berkeley. Chang is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Inter-American Dialogue, Economic Club of New York and Committee of 100. She has been included in Barron’s 100 Most Influential Women in Finance and in American Banker’s Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance. Chang holds an MPA. from Princeton and a BA from Columbia, where she received the John Jay Award for professional achievement.

Paul Cheung is a mission-driven executive with 25 years of expertise in media innovation, philanthropy, and nonprofit leadership. As President of Committee of 100, he focuses on promoting the full participation of Chinese Americans in American society and advancing constructive dialogue between the United States and Greater China. His career spans leadership positions at the Center for Public Integrity, Knight Foundation, NBC News, The Associated Press, The Miami Herald and The Wall Street Journal, where he drove digital innovation and inclusive practices that amplify underrepresented voices. Cheung serves as an advisor and sits on boards and committees for nonprofits including Hacks/Hackers, The Literacy Lab, the Institute for Independent Journalists, and the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

Wendy Francis is Head of Learning and Development for Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB) – Americas at BNP Paribas. In this role, she leads a network of professionals who partner with CIB’s Leadership to establish a culture of continuous learning, identify and accelerate the capabilities of the organizations’ talents, and cultivate an environment where careers thrive. Francis holds an MS in Human Resources Management from the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy. Her HR practice has been predominantly in financial services, having held a variety of HR roles with J.P. Morgan Chase, Credit Suisse and Citi. She currently resides in New Jersey, but she is a natural nomad; traveling as often and far as her passport will take her.

Shamaila Khan is Head of Fixed Income Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific at UBS Asset Management. She is also a member of the Fixed Income Investment team, Fixed Income Investment Forum (FIIF), and chairs the Emerging Markets FIIF sub-committee. Khan joined UBS Asset Management in 2023, having previously been Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income at AllianceBernstein. She was also portfolio manager on several global multi-sector fixed income funds as well as EM multi-asset funds. Prior to her time at AllianceBernstein, Shamaila served as Managing Director of Emerging-Market Debt for TIAA-CREF. Khan has been actively managing and evaluating corporate and sovereign emerging-market debt issuance since 1998 and has participated in a number of emerging-market panels at investment conferences worldwide. She is the author of several published papers and blogs and has appeared in a wide range of global financial publications and financial television programs. She received a Top Women in Asset Management Award in 2019 and Outstanding Asian Americans in Business Award in 2024, and in 2025, she was named one of the 12 most influential people in emerging market debt right now by Citywire.

Suresh Subramanian leads the Transaction Banking Americas business in BNP Paribas’ Corporate and Institutional Banking division. Subramanian is responsible for business strategy, product management, and sales across the Americas. He is actively engaged in industry initiatives on both Trade and Payments. He was the past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bankers Association for Finance and Trade (BAFT) and continues to serve on its board. He is also a member of the board of BNP Paribas Asset Management North America. As a senior leader within BNP Paribas, Suresh holds several positions, including member of the Leadership Committee, CIB Americas; member of the Global Banking Americas Committee; member of the Asset and Liabilities Committee, CIB Americas; and member of the Global Strategic Board for Trade, Cash Management, and Correspondent Banking. He is also the Executive Champion of the Asian Business Networking Group. Subramanian holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in India and BCom from Bombay University.

All NGLs are warmly invited to join us for an engaging afternoon of connection and insight. Reconnect with fellow alumni and meet the incoming Class of 2026 NGLs. Activities may include icebreakers, an NGL alumni panel, and/or briefings on U.S.-China relations. Stay tuned for more details soon!

All NGLs are invited to join a casual day of connecting with your fellow NGLs while relaxing and experiencing New York City together! 

We’re exploring various group activities and would love your input on what interests you. Please indicate your interests, and we will follow up with additional details on timing and registration information for each activity.

Note: All activities will be at participants’ own expenses.
