The 2017 Lunar New Year concert featured one of China’s most internationally acclaimed orchestras, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Muhai Tang. Serving as a long-time high-level bridge for the arts, C100 co-founder and governor Shirley Young played an important role in curating the artists for the Kennedy Center’s Lunar New Year Concert. At her invitation, C100 Governor Henry Tang, Regional Chair Bob Gee, and Board Member Ben Wu also attend an exclusive reception hosted by Chinese Ambassador Cui Tiankai after the concert.
