Committee of 100’s Next Generation Leaders Program Open for Applications

9th September 2026

The program, entering its 13th year, facilitates leadership development for professionals committed to uplifting Asian American inclusion

New York — Committee of 100 is pleased to announce the opening of applications for its Class of 2027 Next Generation Leaders (NGL) cohort. The program works to bridge the representation gap of Asian Americans in executive leadership. While Asian Americans comprise 12% of all professionals, they occupy only 5% of executive roles. The NGL program aims to accelerate the leadership trajectory of mid- to senior-career professionals through leadership development, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Notable alumni of the program include Dake Kang, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist; Nicholas Phan, Grammy Award-winning opera singer; and Laura Huang, bestselling author and Northeastern University business professor.

“Since 2013, I have been deeply inspired by this community,” said Serena Lin, communications strategist and NGL alumni. “I have met so many wonderful, like-minded individuals. For nearly a decade, I have had the privilege of learning from them, collaborating with them, and working alongside them toward our shared goals.”

Applications for the 2027 cohort close on Saturday, October 31. Applicants must be professionals with 10-20 years of experience who are passionate about supporting Asian American advancement and U.S.-China relations, ready to commit 4-6 hours a month between spring and fall 2027.

“Nothing is more foundational to our dual mission of strengthening Chinese American participation and building bridges between the U.S. and China than the connections we make with one another,” said Paul Cheung, Committee of 100 President. “This program facilitates mentorship, leadership development, and networking among outstanding people all committed to this mission who may never have otherwise met.”

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and notifications will be sent by February 2027.
