Clarence Kwan is a founding member of KCY Family Office LLC, a multi-family office investing in alternative investments, such as hedge funds, private equity funds and private credit funds, plus direct investments in emerging, green and pharma industries. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  

He has 45 years of financial advisory, management, and investing experience in the U.S., China, and Eastern Europe. During his 34 years at Deloitte, he advised U.S. and global companies on cross border investments, such as mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and green field investments. In addition to advising clients, Clarence held several national and international leadership roles within Deloitte, including serving as the National Managing Partner of the U.S. Chinese Services Group, National Managing Partner of Deloitte China, and a founding partner of Deloitte Czech Republic. 

Since retiring from Deloitte in 2012, he has served on the boards of various for-profit and non-profit organizations, including East West Bank, Smartlink Health Solutions, SupChina, Piermont Bank, Museum of Chinese in America, and the Committee of 100. In addition, Clarence took on leadership position as the chair of the Committee of 100, the founding chair of the China Committee at the U.S. Council for International Business, and the Chair of China Task Force of the Business & Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD.  

Clarence was born and raised in Hong Kong and is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. degree in psychology and a master’s degree in professional accounting.
