Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa met with Southern California members on August 7 to discuss the development of ties between Los Angeles and China since the February visit of Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping.  C100 Southern California Vice Chair Stewart Kwoh commented:  “The Mayor has provided strong leadership to expand tourism, investments, and trade with China.  The Mayor credited C100 with helping make his visits to China a success, including a trip late last year during which he met with Vice President Xi, who later visited Los Angeles in February 2012.”  Committee Chair Dominic Ng played a prominent role in hosting Vice President Xi during his stay in Los Angeles.
