Mason Ji

Mason Ji is an international trade attorney and litigator at Perkins Coie LLP. His practice focuses on a broad range of commercial litigation and cross-border regulatory and international trade issues, including sanctions, export controls, tariffs, and trade litigation. Ji is also a lecturer of international law at the University of Washington School of Law. Ji was previously a delegate to the United Nations General Assembly. In 2015, he was appointed a White House Ambassador for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders by President Obama. Ji is a bilingual English and Chinese speaker and a former English-Chinese translator and interpreter. He hosts a bilingual radio show and has delivered speeches, in both English and Chinese, across the world. Ji is a board director and fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He was the recipient of the 2025 ABA Rosner & Rosner Young Lawyer Professionalism Award and was named a Top 40 Young Lawyer by the ABA in 2023. Ji received his J.D. from Harvard Law School; a Master of Public Policy and a Master of Science in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar; and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Yale University.
