On May 12th, a small group of C-100 members attended a dinner hosted by current Consul General of China in New York, Ambassador Zhang Qiyue. Ambassador Zhang is the former spokesperson of the China Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former Chinese Ambassador to Belgium and Indonesia. The C-100 members in attendance included Clarence Kwan, Shirley Young, Henry Tang, Oscar Tang, David Ho, James Li, Alice Young, David Chang, Savio Tung, Arthur Liu, and Betty Liu, as well as Acting Executive Director, Holly Chang. Conversations covered a wide range of topics and according to Ambassador Zhang, C-100 members were the first group to be hosted for dinner in her residence in New York City. The Committee of 100 is grateful for a memorable gathering and looks forward to further collaboration with the Consulate in the future.
