On Feb. 23, 2017, the Committee of 100 (C100) and the Center for East Asian Studies hosted a talk called “China, Trump, and the Future of the Global Order” with Martin Jacques, author of When China Rules the World.

C100 member Gordon Chang, author of Fateful Ties, provided the introduction.

After the event, C100 Regional Chair Ken Fong generously hosted C100 members at Tai Pan Restaurant in Palo Alto. Jacques joined the members, too, to allow for more informal discussion.

Other members in attendance included George Koo and Dennis Wu.
