On November 4, 2015 C-100 Governor and Co-founder Shirley Young met with Mr. Ding Wei (丁伟), Vice Minister of Culture to the People’s Republic of China. During the meeting, Ms. Young and Vice Minister Ding discussed the second annual “Happy Chinese New Year: Fantastic Art China” festival scheduled for February 2016. Vice Minister Ding recalled activities on which he collaborated with Ms. Young and the Committee of 100 during his tenure as Cultural Consul at the Chinese Consulate General in New York. He also conveyed his appreciation for Shirley’s contribution to ongoing cultural exchanges between China and the U.S, and expressed well wishes for the success of this event.
