C100 convenes its members and invited leaders of the AAPI community at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas for two days of deep, deliberate engagement. Through intimate working sessions, not panels, we tackle the questions our communities face right now, strengthen relationships, and build trust that ripples through boardrooms and coalitions.

This year also marks a leadership transition, celebrating Governor Gary Locke’s tenure as Chair and turning, together, toward what comes next for C100.

Friday Working Sessions

What is possible when we move together?

C100’s members span every sector that shapes American life, and so should our collaborations. Friday brings C100 members and community leaders together across sectors, not just within them. We gather to pool our collective power, surface opportunities no single organization could see alone, and listen to where C100 can better serve the broader AAPI community. All sessions are off the record so participants speak candidly. The afternoon will feature concurrent sessions, each designed for focused exchange rather than presentations. Each session begins with 5 to 7 minute lightning remarks, followed by a facilitated roundtable discussion with all participants.

National Asian Pacific American Museum Commission Listening Session
Established by the 117th Congress, the Commission to Study the Potential Creation of a National Museum of Asian Pacific American History and Culture is charged with delivering to the President and Congress a comprehensive plan of action that will lay the groundwork for Congressional authorization of a museum in Washington, D.C. dedicated to honoring the achievements, progress, and lasting impact of Asian Pacific Americans. This is your opportunity to provide input on what the first national museum dedicated to preserving Asian Pacific American history and culture could look like. Your voice shapes the vision.

Former AMPAS President Janet Yang, Network News Anchor Richard Lui and special guests offer a behind-the-scenes look at how narratives take shape across film, news, and public life. The conversation explores how stories move from lived reality to screen and broadcast, how films are greenlit, what happens behind breaking news cameras, and how philanthropy and partnerships influence what reaches the public. Drawing on perspectives from mentorship, donor development, and the intersection of music and film, the session examines how narrative is built, financed, managed, and ultimately turned into cultural and community impact.

Gordon H. Chang’s latest book, War, Race, and Culture: Journeys in Trans-Pacific and Asian American Histories, provides historical context for issues facing Asian Americans today, particularly during a time of rising geopolitical tensions and anti-Asian violence. Join us for a short reading followed by conversation about how understanding our history helps us navigate the present. Gordon will be gifting complimentary copies of the book to all C100 members attending the event.

This is an invitation-only weekend for C100 members and select AAPI leaders. Most sessions and meals will take place at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. Participants are encouraged to stay at the hotel to support our room block commitment. A discounted rate of $369 for a City View King is available, plus a $30 resort fee and 13.378% tax.
