Micheline Chau is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Dolby Laboratories,Inc, Las Vegas Sands Corporation, and the California Healthcare Foundation. At the California Healthcare Foundation, she serves as Chair of the Board of Directors, having previously served as Chair of the Investment and Audit committees and a member of the Compensation Committee. She is also on the Audit Committee of Dolby Laboratories,and on the Compensation and Compliance Committees of Las Vegas Sands. She has also served on numerous other public, private and non-profit boards, including Lucasfilm Ltd., Red Hat Inc. (as a member of the Nominating and Governance and Compensation Committees), CGCG, THX, and the George Lucas Educational Foundation. Micheline Chau retired from Lucasfilm Ltd after 21 years, where she was engaged first as CFO (1991-2003) and subsequently as President and Chief Operating Officer (2003-2012.) During her tenure, Chau guided strategy and operations for each of the business units, including world-renowned visual effects house Industrial Light & Magic, audio post-production leader Skywalker Sound, game developer and publisher LucasArts, global merchandising powerhouse Lucas Licensing, and Lucasfilm Animation. Chau also managed the creation of the company's first major overseas studio, Lucasfilm Animation Singapore and spearheaded Lucasfilm's worldwide expansion. In addition, Chau oversaw Lucasfilm's television and motion-picture production, which earned 19 Oscars and 12 Emmy Awards , and all digital media efforts and real estate development, leasing, and management activities. Under her leadership, the company grew to a multi-billion dollar-a-year enterprise and became one of the world's leading fully-integrated film and entertainment companies. Prior to joining Lucasfilm, Chau held high-level positions across a varied spectrum of industries - including retail, restaurant, venture capital, financial services, healthcare and software systems. Chau received her undergraduate degree in English and Asian Studies from Wellesley College and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Stanford University.
