For 30 plus years, George has been a cross border business advisor to high tech companies based in the U.S., China, Japan or Taiwan. He retired from Deloitte in 2008 and served on the board of directors of Las Vegas Sands (NYSE:LVS) from 2008 to June 2014. He served as a board director or board advisor to Dongfeng Fuji Thomson, a Sino-Japanese-American JV making automotive components from 1985 to 2010. He has served on the board of New America Media, a non-profit ethnic media organization, http://news.newamericamedia.org, since 1997. He is a founder and chairman of the board of The Burlingame Foundation in 2017. He is a member of Committee of 100, a national organization of prominent Chinese Americans, www.committee100.org, and he served as the vice chairman from 2002-06. He is a former member of Pacific Council for International Policy and a member of China Committee of PCIP. He is a regular contributor to online Asia Times, www.Atimes.com, and writes on issues relating to Chinese Americans and to U.S.-China relations. He received his S.B. and S.M. degrees in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sc.D. from Stevens Institute of Technology and a M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
